Anais Perez, Latino Art Beat Award Winner Receives Art Merit Scholarship

Anais Perez is again in the news making history at Doral Performing Arts & Entertainment Academy, as the first alumni to receive so many awards and recognitions in our city. This time, the talented young artist was awarded by the The Latino Art Beat Organizationwith an Art Merit Scholarship of $1,000 in a special ceremony last October 8th at the school grounds.
Performing Artist Debora Magdalenta representing the YoungArts Organization, and Mr. Don Rossi Nuccio, National President of The Latino Art Beat attended the event and handed over the award to Anais who was accompanied by her parents, teachers and Doral Performing Arts & Entertainment Academy students.
“It is a pleasure to be here and celebrate together Anais’s talent, and at the same time, be able to know the school that inspires artists to take their talents to a new level”, were the opening words of Deborah Magdalena, whose inspirational and participative talk, motivated the currents art students to participate in the different activities and contests sponsored by YoungArts Organization which was the main source of Anais’s scholarships. Magdalena highlighted the “importance of working hard, make smart choices, consider the talents as a treasure, and follow the goals with greatness in mind”.
Mr. Don Rossi Nuccio, encouraged students to take advantage of the different opportunities offered by The Latino Art beat Organization participating in its annual national art competition for high school and early college age students in categories such as Drawing & Painting, and Film & Animation. “If you take the effort, you can succeed… we are here to support you”, concluded Mr. Rossi recognizing that students from Doral Academy have proven to have the necessary talent, energy and resources to continue winning competitions against any well-known schools in thisfield nationwide.
Doral Performing Arts & Entertainment Academy principal, Mr. Carlos Ferralls, and art teacher Ms. Daniela Aguilera also congratulated the young artist: “We are very proud of Anais and her success. She is a very intelligent, talented, creative and sweet student, who put forth maximum effort to reach her goals. We are sure that she will continue to succeed in her career”, says Mr. Ferralls. Mrs. Aguilera stated with emotion that “Anais is an example to be followed by those pursuing their dreams”.
Proud parents Mrs. Martha and Mr. David Perez are very happy of all opportunities now available to her daughter. “Since she was a little girl, she told us “I’ll be an artist”, and she really is. She has worked very hard to be here, always with a positive attitude and her firm goal of attending that university. We are very grateful to this school for the fantastic support she always received since she was in middle school, allowing her to develop her creativity to the fullest”.
Anais, who is now a Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) student, has received a combined Scholarship Award of $146,000 because of her participation in different competitions which allowed her to be awarded with a Certificate of Merit by The City of Miami Mayor Tomás Regalado for her outstanding contribution to the elevation of creative expression in South Florida.
It is expected that Doral Performing Arts & Entertainment Academy continues in celebration mode thanks to the planned expansion of the program in the near future which includes the construction of a new building that will feature an auditorium, a professional TV studio, parking and more, according to Mr. Ferralls.
These new resources will contribute to develop the talent of those young artist like Anais, that are driven by the same passion and goals, and who ultimately will pay attention to her advice, “Always keep trying in life, if you think you can’t do it, remember that there is always a way”.

La artista Anais Pérez vuelve a hacer historia en Doral Performing Arts & Entertainment Academy, como la primera estudiante ya graduada de bachillerato que recibe diversos reconocimientos y premiaciones por su talento en nuestra ciudad. Esta vez, la talentosa joven recibió una Beca Universitaria en Artes de $1,000 por parte de la Organización ‘The Latino Art Beat’ en una ceremonia especial llevada a cabo el pasado 8 de octubre en las instalaciones de la escuela.
Al evento asistió la actriz Deborah Magdalena representando la Organización Young Arts y el Sr. Don Rossi Nuccio, Presidente Nacional de la Organización ‘The Latino Art Beat, encargado de entregar el reconocimiento a Anais en presencia de sus padres, directivos, profesores y estudiantes de la Escuela de Arte de Doral Academy.
“Es un placer estar aquí y celebrar el talento de una joven como Anais, y al mismo tiempo, conocer la escuela que forma e inspira artistas de tan alto nivel”, fueron las palabras de apertura de Deborah Magdalena, quien a través de una amena y participativa intervención, motivó a los actuales estudiantes de la escuela de arte a participar en las diferentes actividades y concursos patrocinados por YoungArts, organización por la cual Anais recibió la mayor parte de sus becas académicas. Magdalena hizo hincapié en “la importancia de trabajar duro, tomar decisiones inteligentes, ver el talento como un tesoro y tener la meta clara de llevarlo a un nivel cada vez más alto”.
El Sr. Don Rossi Nuccio por su parte, alentó a los estudiantes a aprovechar todas las ventajas que le ofrece la organización The Latino Art Beat a los que tienen herencia latina y participar en el concurso anual para estudiantes de secundaria que se lleva a cabo a lo largo del país en categorías de dibujo y pintura, cine y animación. “Si se esfuerzan, pueden triunfar… estamos aquí para apoyarlos”, concluyó el Sr. Rossi reconociendo que los que los estudiantes de Doral Academy han probado que tienen el talento, las ganas y los instrumentos necesarios para seguir destacándose en cualquier concurso que deseen, y superar a las actuales escuelas conocidas en esa materia.
El director de Doral Performing Arts & Entertainment Academy, Sr. Carols Ferralls y la profesora Sra. Daniela Aguilera también felicitaron a la joven: “Estamos orgullosos de todos los éxitos de Anais, una alumna inteligente, talentosa, creativa y dulce quien puso todo el esfuerzo posible para llegar donde está hoy, estamos seguros que sus éxitos continuarán”, indico el Dr. Ferrals. La profesora Aguilera afirmó que “Anais es un ejemplo a todos aquellos que buscan inspiración para alcanzar sus sueños”.
Sus orgullosos padres Sra.Martha y Sr David Pérez, están felices de todas las oportunidades que ahora cuenta su hija, “Desde pequeña nos dijo, ‘Yo seré artista’, y así ha sido. Ha trabajado muy duro para lograr lo que quiere y siempre con la mente positiva que iba a llegar a esta universidad. Le agradecemos a la escuela por el apoyo fantástico que le dieron, dejándola desarrollar su creatividad al máximo”.
Anais, quien es ahora estudiante del Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), cuenta con $146,000 en becas que obtuvo por la participación en distintos concursos, que le permitieron recibir un Certificado al Mérito de manos del Alcalde de la Ciudad de Miami, Sr. Tomás Regalado por su contribución en elevar la expresión creativa del Sur de la Florida.
Se espera que la Escuela de Arte de Doral Academy continúe celebrando éxitos con la futura expansión en infraestructura; un nuevo edificio de siete pisos que contará con un estacionamiento techado, auditorio, un estudio de grabación profesional de TV, entre otros, según lo indicó el director Ferralls.
Estos nuevos recursos buscan desarrollar el talento de todos aquellos jóvenes que comparten la misma pasión de Anais quien les aconseja “Continúen intentando todo por sus carreras, aunque parezca difícil, siempre hay una forma para lograrlo todo.”
