Doral Family Journal Presented Projects to Benefit Local Schools

Marking the fifth anniversary of its print edition, Doral Family Journal hosted a Business Networking Breakfast at the InterContinental at Doral Hotel on October 22nd.
The objective of the event was to provide the opportunity for representatives from all schools in Doral to get to know about the products and services offered by the businesses in the area that have partnered with the newspaper, in order to foster mutual cooperation relationships.
Ettore Sabatella, Editor-in-chief of the publication, addressed the packed audience to thank them for the positive answer to the invitation, and to explain the projects he has developed along with his team and partners for the year 2016. After him, Ms. Elizabeth Nuñez, from Business 2 Action, presented the initiative “Business for Education” that is part of the projects sponsored by Doral Family Journal for next year.
The first major project will be conducting regular business networking meetings, as well as sports, and cultural events and educational conferences where the members of the community can interact with the businesses in the area. Special attention will be given to promote events directed to those new immigrants who move to Doral, to help them understand the rules, customs, traditions and expectations of living in America, looking forward to support them on the process of adapting to their new environment.
The first of those events will be a presentation about college planning on November 5th, sponsored by The Art Shack and San Ignacio College.
The second great project is the upcoming launching of an aluminum recycling project, where the objective is to work along with the schools in the area, as they will be the main beneficiaries of this initiative, because the funds raised with this campaign will be donated to the Parks and Police 4 Kids Foundation, for their programs designed to benefit schools in Doral.
In attendance at the breakfast were administrators of all schools in the city, as well as the presidents and board members of the Parents, Teachers and Students organizations, who expressed their support and enthusiasm for being part of these future projects sponsored by the newspaper.
The Mayor, Councilmembers, Manager, Assistant Manager and members of the Police Department of the City of Doral were also present, recognizing the positive work that Doral Family Journal has done helping the community being informed about the activities and events of the city.
The event concluded with a special blessing by the Chaplain of the City of Doral Police Department, wishing the team of Doral Family Journal many more years of success, committed to provide unbiased, timely, truthful, helpful and positive information for Doral’s growing community.

Primer Desayuno de Negocios
Doral Family Journal presenta proyectos para beneficiar escuelas locales

Coincidiendo con el quinto aniversario de su edición impresa, Doral Family Journal invitó a miembros de negocios, autoridades escolares y municipales y miembros de la comunidad a participar en el Primer Desayuno de Negocios, realizado el 22 de octubre en el Hotel InterContinental Doral.
El objetivo del evento fue proporcionar a los representantes de todas las escuelas de Doral la oportunidad de conocer los productos y servicios ofrecidos por los negocios del área que trabajan junto con el periódico, para promover relaciones de cooperación mutua.
Ettore Sabatella, Editor en Jefe de la publicación, agradeció a la audiencia la positiva acogida a la invitación y procedió a explicar los proyectos que ha preparado junto a su equipo para el año 2016. También la Sra. Elizabeth Núñez, de la corporación Business 2 Action, presentó la iniciativa “Business for Education” que forma parte de estos proyectos.
El plan incluye la organización periódica de eventos y reuniones, así como actividades deportivas, culturales y educativas, donde la comunidad pueda interactuar con los negocios del área, con especial énfasis en eventos dirigidos a los nuevos residentes que recién se mudan a Doral, para ayudarles a comprender las reglas, costumbres, tradiciones y expectativas de la vida en los EEUU, y apoyarlos en el proceso de adaptarse a su nuevo entorno.
El primero de estos eventos será una presentación sobre planificación para la Universidad, que tendrá lugar el 5 de noviembre y es patrocinado por The Art Shack y San Ignacio College.
El segundo proyecto es el lanzamiento de una iniciativa de reciclaje de aluminio, donde se espera trabajar en conjunto con las escuelas del área. Estas serán las principales beneficiarias, pues los fondos que se recauden de esta campaña se donarán a la fundación “Parks and Police 4 Kids” para sus programas diseñados a apoyar las escuelas de Doral.
Estuvieron presentes en el desayuno administradores de las escuelas de la ciudad y también miembros de las organizaciones de Padres, quienes expresaron su entusiasmo para trabajar junto a Doral Family Journal en estos proyectos futuros.
Las Autoridades Municipales, Administradores y miembros del Departamento de Policía de la Ciudad de Doral también estuvieron presentes, reconociendo la labor positiva de la publicación al apoyar la difusión de las actividades y eventos de la ciudad.
La presentación concluyó con una bendición especial por parte del Capellán del Departamento de Policía de la Ciudad, deseando a Doral Family Journal muchos años más de éxito y compromiso con la creciente comunidad de Doral.
