Grand Opening of Publix at Downtown Doral
On Thursday, January 11th, 2017, the brand new Publix at Downtown Doral opened its doors welcoming its customers.
City of Doral’s mayor, Juan Carlos Bermudez cut the ceremonial ribbon with Luis Padilla, the store manager. Joining them on stage for the ribbon cutting were Armando Codina, Executive Chairman of Codina Partners, LLC; Councilwoman Claudia Mariaca; Edward A. Rojas, Doral’s City Manager; and Publix associates.
Luis Padilla has 23 years of service with Publix. Luis most recently served as store manager at Publix on the Bay, in Miami Beach.
Approximately 170 associates are employed at the store.
“We are looking forward to welcoming all of our customers to our new store, the first of it’s kind in Downtown Doral, and anticipate that they will enjoy all the enhancements, product offerings and services their new Publix has to offer,” said Nicole Krauss, Publix’s Miami media and community relations manager.
The Publix Deli has associates available to assist customers during store hours and includes a full-service deli counter meats and cheeses as well as traditional deli items including custom Publix subs, fried and rotisserie chicken, prepared fresh in store. It carries an expanded selection of of freshly prepared foods created in-house daily, fresh salad bar, a soup bar offers four gourmet soups daily and a Hot Bar features Pan Asian favorites like Mongolian Beef, Sweet & Sour Chicken, Vegetable Lo-Mein and more. It also carries both organic and conventionally grown fruits and vegetables. Customers will also find a selection of bakery items made with all-natural ingredients, including mini desserts, jumbo muffins and jumbo cupcakes as well as an expanded variety of premium and specialty wines from the United States and around the world.
In addition to a Full-Service Pharmacy, a Clinical Services Room will allow welcome customers into as private area for immunizations, medication consultations and point of care testing services.
Customers can visit the Café conveniently located near the deli and bakery. It features popular favorites such as coffees, espressos, lattes and assorted pastries. There is a seating area and free Wi-Fi service available.
