For most of our children the new school Year is a very exciting moment, full of joy and expectations. However, in some cases the start of the school year may also generate anxiety and stress to some of them. Some kids may face a new school; others may face new friends or teachers. Whatever the case is, it will be very valuable for your child to have your full support and guidance in order to help them reduce any negative symptom that may arise.

Here below you find some guidelines to a stress-free new school year for your children:

– Leave school clothes ready the night before to avoid delays and troubles last moment, and wake up long enough to have a quiet breakfast for the day to a good start for the whole family.

– Be punctual to the time of leaving the school to help them learn the importance of arriving on time.

– Check every day backpacks, there will always be notifications to which we must be vigilant to help our children to fulfill their duties in a timely manner.

– By bringing homework home, the youngest almost always choose them physically close to their parents, either in the kitchen or dining room, while for older children will be generating its own place. Each child will discover by their own a very personal process of trial and error, which is the environment that best promotes concentration.

Keep a positive attitude: It is very important that you as a parent keep a positive attitude towards the school year. Remember that kids perceive your attitude and it is very likely that he takes the same attitude to school.

Encourage open communication:  Although this should be an ongoing practice, it will be very helpful, especially during this moment to have a good parent-child communication. Allow your child to express his feelings and fears and reaffirm your kid your support. In case your child does not talk too much, try asking some questions to facilitate a dialogue.

Good Luck and enjoy this wonderful year!
